Career Coach

Career Coach is a part-time and/or full-time professional work-at-home position. Position interacts with clients via phone, email and net meetings to coordinate and provide career-related services.

Key responsibilities include teaching clients the skills that will assist them in career planning and conducting an effective career search. You will coach clients on how to execute the strategies to assist them in maximizing time in the search, save money and negotiate better salary and benefit packages. In addition, you will discuss a variety of topics with the clients including work/life related issues, retirement, time management, relocating and communicating a transition to your family as you assist the client in implementing their career search tasks.

Bachelor’s degree preferred and a minimum of five years professional experience required.

Resume Writer

Resume Writer is a full or part-time work at home position.

Responsibilities include developing, writing, and editing effective resumes for clients with a 48 hour turnaround. You will have to work with the clients to gather their work history, achievements and other pertinent information via email and telephone. You will have to review existing resumes and recommend revisions or change in scope, format, or content.

Contract – Recruiter

Estimated Start Date: 12-1-2007

This position will support a variety of internal and external client groups, with initial focus on filling open Career Coaching positions. This position requires a service-oriented individual to work with hiring managers and the recruiting staff of external clients.

The Recruiting Specialist will execute recruiting activities that support identified hiring needs, as well a proactively build a pipeline of candidates for future consideration. The Recruiting Specialist will also work with hiring managers of external companies to match our career coaching clients with applicable job opportunities.

Specific activities include:

  • Prioritizing needs from hiring managers
  • Work with hiring managers to define needs
  • Identifying candidates through established and newly identified channels including work with UpShot Career Coaches.
  • Pre-screening candidates for technical skills, attitude, culture fit and leadership.
  • Maintaining communications with candidates
  • Participate in interviews
  • Coordinating selection, placement and offer process with hiring managers

The position is a full-time contract assignment with an estimated work schedule of 40 hours per week over the next 9-12 months. There is an opportunity for the position to transition from contract to permanent. Position requires the individual to work from home.

Customer Service Representative

Estimated Start Date: 12-1-2007

Fabulous position with a rapidly growing company! The Customer Service Representative will be responsible for data entry of client information and scheduling client appointments for the career coaches. The position requires the Representative to organize client files, troubleshoot client issues, and coordinate client evaluations. In addition, the Representative will assist the Vice President of Client Services on projects as assigned.

Experience:
MUST have previous experience in a customer service or call center environment. Previous data entry or order entry experience required.

Additional Requirements:
Must be able to accurately type MINIMUM 45 words per minute. Detail-oriented, organized, professional, fast learner, flexible schedule. Intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, Yahoo! Messenger, GotoMeeting.com and Outlook required.
